Evaluation Day station helpers.
Evaluations are a fun way for players to show off their skills. There are four stations players will show off their skills.
Layup station - players attempt 5 layups using either hand and can approach the hoop from either side of the lane. COUNT EACH LAYUP THEY MAKE and record the number on the form.
Free throw station - players attempt five free throws from the designated free throw line for their grade. COUNT EACH FREE THROW THEY MAKE and record the number on the form.
Defensive Movement station - players will have 30 seconds to shuffle, sprint, shuffle, and back pedal around FOUR CONES setup up in a square that are 12' apart. COUNT EACH CONE they pass and at the end of 30 seconds record the number of cones passed on a form.
Speed Dribble (cone dribble) station - players will have 30 second to dribble around TWO CONES using either hand. The two cones are 12' apart. COUNT EACH CONE they pass and at the end of 30 seconds record the number of cones passed on a form. If the ball rolls away the clock still runs, and they come back to continue the drill.
With each drill there is also a skill score you will circle indicating your estimate of their skill in that drill.

- Circle 1 for a beginner - this will be 15% of the players.
- Circle 2 for average - this will be for 75% of the players. When in doubt circle 2.
- Circle 3 for above average - this will be 10% of the players and is someone who you are very impressed with.
