Practices and Game Day

Practices

First practice week is Nov. 29th, 2021.

Your preferred practice location is selected when you attend an evaluation or cheer clinic.

Practices occur one day per week.  Kindergarten, 1st/2nd, and 3rd/4th grade teams practice for 60 minutes.  5th/6th and 7th/8th grade teams practice for 90 minutes.

Each week coaches teach through organized and detailed practices.  Coaches recognize each players skill level, instill a sense of sportsmanship and competitive spirit along with reviewing virtues from the bible each week at practice.

Players and cheerleaders should dress in clothes for physical activity while saving their uniforms to wear on game day.

Game Day

First game is Jan. 8th, 2022

Game days may take place at facilities throughout the partnership.

Each week players are introduced like the pros with music, lights and tunnels to run through as their names are announced.

Players learn the game through 4 levels of rules that influence things such as goal height, ball size and length of games.
  • Level 1 - Kindergarten
  • Level 2 - 1st and 2nd grade
  • Level 3 - 3rd and 4th grade
  • Level 4 - 5th grade and up (equal to OHSAA middle school rules)

Teams are gender specific.

1st-4th grade teams will play games in West Chester and Liberty Township.

5th grade and up teams could play games in Fairfield, Hamilton, Liberty Township, West Chester and Springboro.
Games are played on Saturdays and will begin January 8th and continue for a total of 8 games.

Tournament Week

5th grade and up teams will play in an end of season tournament the week of February 28, 2022.  Games may take place on any night that week and could occur on a night other than your practice night.

At Home

Free play is an important part of growing, learning and exercise. Taking time at home will help to reinforce what participants learn at practice.

Each practice, coaches will talk about different virtues based upon practical biblical life lessons.  Take these as an opportunity to see what they have learned and can apply to life off the court.

Professional players suggest parents should focus on saying three things after a game;  I enjoyed watching you play, I love you and did you have fun?

The experience of watching youth son or daughter in a sport will go by quickly. Make sure you take the time to enjoy it.
