"Become a legend!"

Coaches for basketball and cheerleading play a unique role in the UPWARD sports program.  You have a genuine opportunity to have an eternal impact on the lives of children and become a legendary figure when they remember their childhood.  You are a key part of the ministry and help provide the best sports experience for each child on your team.  You will receive valuable tools and first class coaching materials to help you along the way.  All coaches receive a coaches manual geared toward each season, a help DVD, information on the coaches section of the Upward website and a nice shirt to wear on game day.  For more information visit this link (The Upward Basketball Coach) and the link at the bottom of this page for more information.

How to sign up to be a coach, assistant coach or referee?

1. Download and print the coach/referee application AND background check release form.

2. Fill out and mail to the address at the bottom of the form or bring to an evaluation session. Both forms must be submitted to be considered. Submitting an application does not guarantee a position.

3. Attend Coach / Referee Training on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 8:30 am to 9:45 am at:

• West Chester Church of the Nazarene - 7951 Tylersville Road (Next to Kohl's)

ALL COACHES AND REFEREES SHOULD PLAN TO ATTEND. COACHES WILL RECEIVE ROSTERS, UNIFORMS AND UPWARD COACHING MATERIALS.  REFEREES WILL RECEIVE A REFEREE MANUAL.
